Why did you join SMPS?

I was new to the industry and I felt it provided the best networking opportunities and valuable educational information for marketers.

What is the most important thing you’ve gained from joining SMPS?

The life-long friends, great networking and learning new skills through conference and chapter involvement.

How did you get into the A/E/C industry?

I was a jewelry designer previously, but I was intrigued with the idea of desktop publishing and using my creative in a new way and also being strategic. That was about 25 years ago and bringing desktop publishing in-house was new to companies. I enjoyed the fast-paced environment and stayed.

What excites you about your work and the contribution you make?

I love being able to bring our brand to life and position our teams for success as they service our clients in so many exciting markets.

What is one thing that might surprise people to know about you?

As I noted, I was a jewelry designer for four years prior to construction. I worked in both costume and precious metals. I even worked on private Disney lines.

If you could learn anything what would it be?

I’ve always wanted to be fluent in another language. I’ve learned to speak some conversational Italian.

What is the last book (or newspaper, magazine) you read?

The Girl on the Train.

What is your favorite book or movie and why?

To Kill a Mockingbird; both the book and movie. Just the essence of innocence portrayed through Scout the main character while she and her friends were trying to understand the realities of the world happening around them. It was so well told.

When you were little, who was your favorite superhero and why?

Definitely Wonder Woman. Just loved her no non-sense approach to justice.

How do you enjoy your free time?

Enjoying time with my friends, painting, or traveling and exploring other places.
