SMPS: Why did you join SMPS?

No other association offers a network of individuals who have similar roles and responsibilities in which you can have a one-on-one and build long lasting relationships. Their lunches and learning labs are also geared directly to the issues and or ideas/trends I want to learn more about.

SMPS: What is the most important thing you’ve gained from joining SMPS?

There are many different things that I’ve gained since joining SMPS. The most important one would have to be the connections I’ve gained.

SMPS: How did you get into the A/E/C industry?

I started as Receptionist in a high-end residential contractor back in 2008 and since then I have worked my way up through the ladder.

SMPS: What excites you about your work and the contribution you make?

Marketing is exciting all around.

SMPS: What is one thing that might surprise people to know about you?

I am very friendly and outgoing. But the one thing people are always surprised to hear is that I went to Military School.

SMPS: If you could learn anything what would it be?

I am all about continuing to learn about anything and everything. But if I could learn one thing, it would have to be more valuable information to not only help me in my current role but also help grow the firm I am at.

SMPS: What is the last book (or newspaper, magazine) you read?

I just finished reading “Between the World and Me”.

SMPS: What is your favorite book or movie and why?

Family Stone, hands down. I watch it religiously twice a year since its release.

SMPS: When you were little, who was your favorite superhero and why?

Still to this day my favorite superhero would have to be my mother. As I grow older it only becomes more and more evident what a hard working woman she is. She truly taught me everything I know and has made me the woman I am today. I have never met anyone more loving, caring, and ambitious as she.

SMPS: How do you enjoy your free time?

During my free time I enjoy it spending time with my daughter and husband. I also enjoy going to the beach, traveling and reading.
